This is probably my all time favorite picture. It was taken on the first or second day after I got my first real camera. This was taken from the cliff bank by the river behind my house. Unfortunately, I can never get a shot like this again, because the ground I was standing on fell 40 feet into the river a couple of years ago.

It is hard to appreciate snow in summer, but I can tell you, I'm certainly not looking forward to winter this year, no matter how "pretty" it can be.

Well, I had an unfortunate incident with black ice this past winter when I fell and broke my leg in three places. I had to withdraw from all of my classes, and I'll basically have to take the semester over. Very annoying. So, that's why winter is kind of on my bad list. Its very pretty, but usually only when you're sitting inside next to a toasty warm fire with a cup of cocoa or chai in your hands.
